SA scout hut meetings ❤️🏊‍♀️🧜‍♀️

So i did a thing 🤔🤣

I'm so very proud of all the swimmers in my swim group and also so very thankful for them for making my business work. I wondered what about them? Swimming is not always their 1st passion or only hobby.

I also wanted a space that we could come together ❤️ and share which wasn't always water. Not everyone wants to just swim all day.🙄

The Women's Institute has been a constant throughout, gathering women together, encouraging them to acquire new skills and nurturing unique talents. However I also have some men in my swim group and we have husbands and sons so I wanted it to be more of a whole community.

Your 'tribes' can often be described as your people, the group of individuals you connect with. It can be a collection of friends from the past or you may find these groups of people at work or whilst doing hobbies. They are people who you resonate and connect with straight away and didn't expect to.

A gathering, on the other hand, is a broader term for people coming together, which may or may not involve specific celebrations, entertainment, or a set purpose.

A community is a social unit (a group of people) with a shared socially-significant characteristic, such as place, set of norms, culture, religion, values, customs, or identity. Communities may share a sense of place situated in a given geographical area (e.g. a country, village, town, or neighborhood) or in virtual space through communication platforms.

Friendship is a close and mutual bond between individuals characterized by affection, trust, and support. It often involves shared experiences, interests, and values, and can provide emotional support, companionship, and a sense of belonging.

So i have hired a scout hut for the 2nd Friday of every month for us to come and either just gather or use it as a platform for our hobbies/businesses. A safe space where hopefully we can all just be. 🥰
