The January Rush

As the new year kicks off, lets capture the essence of January. From the struggle of sticking to New Year’s resolutions to the return-to-work blues. Especially when January is cold and often dreary with the weather and pay day is so far away, we are all broke after Christmas and really it's amazing for any of us to feel motivated, and make it past the 10th, national quit day.

My new years plans have gone crazy and every day is filled with teaching, working, meeting friends, swiming, training, healthy nutrition and exciting activities. 😆 Something will give as it all pans out but I've never been soo busy. In this time it is easy to forget what is important.

1- Give time to yourself- if you are always doing something for others then don't forget about yourself. Create Time-out moments, remember you can not pour from a empty cup.

2- Check in with yourself- ask yourself the question and take time to journal your answers.

3- Stop saying 'I don't mind' - start doing what you want to do so your free time is spent valuable to you.

Hopefully I'll see you all on The 1st February at The Swim Aquatics Awakening ❤️🏊‍♀️🧜‍♀️
