Always here and always there,
ready for when we come calling.
Whether to bathe our joy or wash our tears,
and catch us if weโre falling.
Your words in waves sung from the shore,
your arms outstretched beyond.
seeking peace of mind and comfort,
you always know how to respond.
Thoughts adrift, hearts skipping beats,
sometimes sad and tired and teary.
Yet every time you hear our cries,
you make us feel alive and much less weary.
As the sun comes up, you hug us tight,
and in that moment we feel so free.
You read our minds, you hear our hearts,
in our conversations with the sea.
